A route through the noise

Stop guessing. Start improving the pages that can genuinely win you customers.

SEO is often sold as a mysterious monthly service. The playbook replaces that mystery with a controlled sequence of decisions, changes and evidence.

01

Start with the business goal

Connect search activity to a useful page, a suitable customer and a worthwhile next action.

02

Improve what matters first

Map customer language to the right pages before publishing more content or buying more software.

03

Measure without pretending

Use Search Console signals, enquiry evidence and decision rules without manufacturing certainty.

The commercial chain

Rankings are a signal. Customers are the outcome.

The book separates search visibility, relevant visits, enquiries and customers so you can judge SEO in the context of the full business journey.

Read the opening excerpt
The SEO outcome chain from search visibility to relevant visits, enquiries and customers.
SEO supports the journey, but it does not control every stage.

What you will build

A working SEO system, not a shelf of tactics.

Each part produces an output you can use, check and carry into the next stage.

From Chapter 7

“Keyword research does not improve a website. A customer cannot buy a spreadsheet.”

The value appears when the research helps you make an important page clearer, more useful and easier to act upon.

About the author

Denny Cartwright

Denny is the founder of KSJ Growth, where he helps small businesses approach websites, search visibility and digital growth with clearer priorities and fewer empty promises.

The book grew from planning, building and measuring KSJ Growth’s own website as a transparent live example. The approach is simple: start with the business goal, make the website genuinely useful, record the evidence and avoid promises the data cannot support.

Before you choose

Straight answers about the playbook.

Who is the book written for?

Primarily owners and managers of small UK service businesses who control a relatively small website and want a responsible, plain-English route into SEO.

Do I need expensive software?

No. The system uses accessible sources such as customer language, your own website, Google Search Console and free first-party tools. Paid software can help, but it is not a requirement.

Does it promise rankings or leads?

No. The promise is a completed, defensible process: clearer priorities, better pages, safer checks and evidence for the next decision. Rankings, traffic and enquiries are not guaranteed.

Which formats are available?

The Amazon listing contains Kindle, paperback and hardcover editions. Amazon is the current source for format availability and price.

Is this only for WordPress?

No. The principles suit WordPress and other mainstream platforms. Large ecommerce catalogues, migrations, international sites and complex JavaScript applications sit outside the primary scope.
